the real real

Shirt: Gap, Pants: Zara, Shoes: Boutique 9, Belt: Dolce & Gabbana, Sunglasses: Tom Ford

If you haven't heard of The Real Real, be sure to click on the site and check it out.  If you love Prada, Louis Vuitton and Christian Louboutin. You will fall in love with this site.  The Real Real consigns designers pieces. Ranging from clothing, shoes, handbags and so much more.  Today's post is dedicated to The Real Real.  I made my first purchase.  They had a 20% off sale and I quickly grabbed a few things I thought were necessary for my closet.

The Tom Ford Yvette sunglasses and the Dolce and Gabbana belt.  Both items were around $100 each.  The sunglasses originally retail for $320 and the belt for $345.  Depending how you look at it, I "saved" $465 or I got some great designer pieces for $100!!! Since I have several pairs of sunglasses and belts always seem to go in and out of style, I try and not spend too much on these types of accessories.

What do you think about the sunglasses? Too big? Are you a fan of logo belts? I'm not a huge fan, but I think for the price and the beautiful leather...I can make it work!

golden ticket

Shirt: French Connection, Skirt: J.Crew, Shoes: Nine West, Bag: Coach, Watch: Bulova, Necklace & Ring: Lia Sophia
This is one of my typical workday outfits.  Pencil skirts are one of my signature looks.  I've found out over the years what looks best with my body type.  With my height and shape, pencil skirts look best! J.Crew carries my favorite skirts. They have skirts in tall, regular and petite.  So you're able to find the best length for you.  This golden skirt has been paired with several colors.  When I feel like I want to wear a simple shirt, a colorful skirt is the next thing I look for in my closet.

The shirt is a cotton dress. Which looks great under a pencil skirt...no lines from tucking in your shirt.  Of course I put on my favorite black shoes.  The heel on these shoes can get be through a 9 hour workday.

date night

Top: Old Navy, Pants: TJ Maxx, Coat: GAP, Boots: Coach, Purse: Coach
The prefect way to start a work week...having Monday off! This Monday was exceptionally special, MLK Jr. Day and the President's Inauguration.  Today was filled with running around the city doing errands and having lunch with Matt.  While having lunch we decided to have another movie night.  I think it's starting to become a tradition.  Two weeks in a row can count as a tradition...right? We saw Quentin Tarantino, Django Unchained.  It was a well produced movie, a little too much violence for this girl.  The next movie we watch will feature unicorns and teddy bears!

This outfit is one of my favorite.  It's casual and perfect for walking around the city and going to the movies.  Denim will continue to play a huge role in my wardrobe.  I think a denim shirt looks great with everything.

The jacket is a huge hit in San Francisco.  It's a light jacket that keeps me warm when it's windy in the city.  Although these boots have been underutilized, I'm always looking for an excuse to wear them in the city.

Enjoy the post!
