off the grid

This weekend in SF was beautiful.  We had 80+ degree weather on Friday and Saturday, so we found ourselves outside most of the time.  Every Friday during the summer there is a gathering of food trucks that occur right off the San Francisco Bay at Fort Mason.  The summer event is the perfect way to try "new" SF food and watch the sunset.  This Friday we ditched our typically sushi night and headed to Fort Mason for some yummy yummy food.

I wore my new ombre hudson shorts and booties.  This makes a great pair, espcially when you're walking through the city on a warm day.  Hope you had a good weekend!

diy valentino inspired bracelet

This project was inspired from a Valentino raincoat a saw a few weeks ago.  I loved the clear vinyl! Reminds me of the 80's and something different.  If you can find a hole puncher, I can't remember where I grab this from, but I assume you can get it at your local craft store or hardware store. The project takes about 15 minutes to make.  Enjoy your new accessory.

Material:
- studs (purchased from esty)
- hammer
- scissors
- vinyl (got from Joanns)
- hole puncher
- measuring tape
- permanent market
- magnetic clasp  (not pictured)
Step 1: measure and mark1/2 inch between studs
Step 2: punch holes in vinyl with hole puncher
Step 3: put bottom of the stud in vinyl (make sure to leave the first hole empty)
Step 4: put top of stud in the vinyl
Step 5: hammer the back of the stud on a hard surface
Step 6: continue to put all the studs in the vinyl strip, leaving an extra hole on each end
Step 7: put the magnetic clasp on each side

brick and morter

Top: Express: Skirt: Express: Shoes: Elie Tahari, Bag: Coach: Sunnies: Dolce & Gabbana, Watch: Timex
The black and white trend is really starting to take over my wardrobe.  I wandered into Express a few days ago and came across this awesome skirt! It was perfect for work.  Profession and not too short.  The shirt is probably my favorite.  It's going to look great with a pair of boyfriend jeans, simple heels and a cute belt! Can't wait to wear it again.
