Can you tell that I love gold? Got this gold plate for $2. Great accent piece for the kitchen.
More gold!!! Found this Moroccan pouf on craigslist for $50. Looks great with the zebra rug!

Last Friday marked our two week anniversary in New York. We've been so busy putting the apartment together and we almost have it complete! On Sunday I went thrifting on 23rd Street in New York and it was such a great experience. I think it will be a month occurrence! The shops were full with vintage and modern pieces for your home.

Hope you like the new addition to the apartment, as soon as we get the four brown moving boxes out of my living room, I promise to post pictures of the finished apartment!

Total cost: $163 and added lots of character to my apartment!

This weekend we took a trip to the Metropolitan Art Museum. We figured since we're still in NY, we can still do all the tourist things and get away with it ;) The Museum was beautiful and filled with art from all over the world and from different time periods.  We were only able to see a few exhibits, but you could successfully spend 1-2 days looking at every exhibit.

Here are a few pictures from the trip.  The Greek exhibits were my favorite; filled with so many beautiful sculptures and statues.  Some with missing body parts and some fully intact. If you're in NY for a few days and enjoy museums, make sure to spend a few hours exploring. It's worth your time.

Checking out the Empire State building.  Love this view.
It's been almost a month since I last posted! Wow...so much has happened in the last 29 days! I traveled across the US to get to New York (SF > DEN > TX > MO > NY), work events and seeing family. It was a busy three weeks! Then after we arrive in New York I start my new position, which has been such a great experience! Then last weekend, Matt proposed! Yay! We're both overwhelmed with happiest and love from our families and friends.

I have so many pictures to share, but I'll start here with our trip to Eataly.  A good friend recommended this place and doesn't disappoints when it comes to recommendations.  Hope you enjoy the pictures. I promise to catch you up on the events the last few weeks.
