Love these oxfords!

This week's blog collaboration is plaid and tartan! You may ask yourself, what's the difference? I've googled several times "the difference between plaid and tartan", because I was asking myself the same question. In the States and modern day society they can be used interchangeably. However, the term "tartan" originates from the Scottish culture which refers to a traditional fabric used in their clothing.

Today I'm wearing a plaid collar shirt from J.Crew with all black. Plaid is one of y favorite patterns during this time of the year. My closet is full of plaid. It goes well with black and other deep hues I wear during the holidays. As for my oxford flats...they are my favorite! I fell in love with these shoes the moment I set eye on them during the Lord & Taylor sale.

Hope you've enjoyed the blogger collaboration. Only two more weeks left in the series! I'm really looking forward to next week.

5 Gorgeous Holiday Dresses under $100

5 Gorgeous Holiday Dresses under $100; holiday dresses; holidays; dresses under $100; what to wear; nyc blogger; mango; gold dress; sequin dress; topshop; green gown; red velvet dress; dresses;

Can you believe the month of December is already here? It seems like yesterday I was enjoying the warm and sunny days in New York City.  Time really does fly as you get older.  I remember as a young girl, December was always my favorite month. This month represents so much in my eyes. For starters, it's my birthday month, so naturally it holds a special place in my heart. Next, it's that time of year that you create new memories with your loved ones. Then you have shopping for gifts, wrapping presents and holiday parties!

With so many holiday parties and after work actives, in December I always seem to get the most use out of my closet. Each year I pick up a few holiday dresses to get me through the season. As most of you know from my blog post, I'm a big fan of wearing pieces on repeat. When I look at my closet and evaluate if something was a good buy, I calculate the total cost divided by total numbers of wears. For example, if I buy a pair of boots for $150 and I wear them 30 times, that's $5 per wear. That's a good purchase. However, if I purchase a dress for $150 that I only wear once, that's a really bad purchase. Here are a few dresses that can transition from a holiday party to a New Year's Eve dress or date night.

  one :: Topshop $75
two :: Boohoo $50
three :: Mango $80
four :: Boohoo $60
five :: River Island $100

Bradamant Bodysuit worn Two Ways

Hi everyone, hope you had a good weekend with friends and family. Today's post I'm wearing a top bodysuit, worn two different ways.

Bradamant is recreating the way woman approach the work place. We've all experienced having to deal with our shirts being untucked and not looking professional. The advantage of a bodysuit is that you never have to worry about your shirts coming untucked and you having to run to the lady's room to straighten up. Oh, that's the worst!

This bodysuit is great for the holiday season. It can be worn at work with a pencil skirt and quickly transitioned into an evening outfit. My coated leather pants were a great transition piece with the body suit.

Bradamant is giving 25% discount to Corporate Catwalk readers through December 31st. Use code   CorporateCatwalkGivesATuck at checkout.

Here are a few other ladies wearing a bodysuit; Couture Blog, The Classy Cubicle and District Sparkle
