Organza Skirt c/c Posh in Plum
DvF Pumps
Fendi Bag (love this Rachel Ruddick bag)

For those of you who have followed Corporate Catwalk for a while, you've probably realized that I love midi skirts.  Even at 5'1, I find these skirt flattering for my body. They're also a great alternative to a traditional pencil skirt. This beautiful skirt is from Posh in Plum. A few weeks ago, Rachel, who is the owner, reached out to me and asked me if I'd feature a few items on my blog. I was delighted to work with Rachel, who has such an amazing entrepreneurial spirt, and feature Posh in Plum on the site.

The skirt I'm wearing is great for the office, especially for those ladies who work in a less corporate environment. For someone like myself, I'd wear this with a more traditional button up shirt to the office. The black faux leather top is from previous outfits.  It's a peplum top that has been tucked into the skirt. If you're not a fan of peplum tops (at least not anymore) and you have several in your closet, repurpose the tops and tuck them into high waisted skirts...like the one I'm wearing today.

What do you think about the DvF pumps? I'm in love with these shoes. I wore them on a recent work trip to Pittsburgh. My customer meeting ended at 2:30 and my flight departed at 3:55.  I was hauling booty to the airport and it didn't give me any time to switch into my flats, so I wore these till I got home to New York. Much to my surprise, I didn't have any blisters and my feet were not sore.  What was even more impressive is that they didn't have a bunch of scratches all over the heels.

These are my official work shoes. I want them in every color! The nude heels are my next purchase. Ladies, if you're on the lookout for a great pair of pumps for the office, these are the shoes you need. They run a 1/2 size big. I'm typically a 6.5 but a 6 fits me perfectly!

June 14th was the happiest day of my life. When we first started planning the wedding last year we had no idea what to expect. Although we had never visited Hotel Le Reve, we knew we wanted to have our wedding at that resort in Mexico. Can you believe we planned our wedding from NYC. We never tried the food, saw the hotel (or church) or met our wedding planner. In retrospect, it's a little crazy.

Anyways, back to the story...

We wed in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. We stayed at Le Reve Hotel and Spa and got married in a chapel downtown Playa. It's true what they say, your wedding day goes by SO quickly. It feels like you're on "fast forward" the entire day. I'm just so thankful we have so many photos and a video of the entire day.

The day was perfect. We had such an amazing wedding coordinator. I had a great time getting ready before the wedding, riding to the church with my father and walking down the aisle to see my handsome husband. It was a very emotional experience. My cousin said there wasn't a dry eye in the the entire church. Matt and I have been blessed with a beautiful journey and we were both overwhelmed with joy that the day had finally come that we get to spend "forever" together. Our wedding was magical.

My dress is by Matthew Christopher. I bought it at a small boutique wedding store in NYC. My shoes are by Sophie Webster and my veil is from etsy.

Hope you enjoy the photos. When I get my professional photos back, I'll be sure to share.

Big thank you to Nina for taking these photos! Photos by Nina Tekwani

As most of you know, Matt and I got married in Mexico. We wed in a small catholic chapel in the middle of downtown, Playa del Carmen. Since we got married out of the country, it was necessary for us to get legally married in the state of New York. I loved this idea! Just you and your groom getting married in the courthouse. It seemed a little rebellious and spontaneous.

In my eyes, we were basically having another wedding. And as much as I love a traditional wedding gown, I've was always been inspired by nontraditional brides. This courthouse wedding was the perfect time to try something nontraditional.  Bianca Jagger's YSL suit she wore in 1971 was the inspiration behind to my structured jumper for our courthouse wedding. I put on a few statement accessories, nude heels and a flower bouquet and it turned into the modern day bride.

The jumpsuit made a short cameo at the end of our wedding, right before everyone jumped into the pool. That story is for another day. I'm not holding out on wedding photos...I promise. The real wedding photos are coming next week. We have so many, so I'm trying to sort through all of them to give you the best glimpse at our wedding.

Have a good weekend and see you on Monday!
