Hope everyone had a good week at work and you’re starting to make plans for the weekend! This weekend, Batman and I are heading to Kansas City to spend time with family and friends. After being in San Francisco for a week, I couldn’t imagine another weekend without him.

While preparing for my trip back home, I needed to find a travel bag for my growing pup. For those with doggies and are on the lookout for a airline approved carrier, I found this wonderful carrier from Wagwear. It’s a local NYC boutique. Anyways, we bought this carrier for Batman. Since he’s already outgrown his first carrier, we decided to invest in a higher end bag. It will be the only carrier we’ll need for several years.

Appreciate everyone’s feedback on Monday’s series, one piece worn two ways. I have a few fun ideas for upcoming posts.

What to Wear to Work | Black + White

Getting through the winter months and looking stylish at the office can be difficult. Most mornings I wake up and want to throw on a chunky sweater and black trousers. What I've found, midway through the day I'm wishing I wore something else to the office. Something with more character and pizzazz! My sweater and trouser combo is acceptable on Mondays, but after that I'm trying to put more effort into what I wear throughout the week. It makes for a more successful day at the office.

Today's outfit is a perfect example of adding "pizzazz" to your outfit and getting rid of the "winter office blues". This bow is from ASOS and can be added to most collar shirts. It makes a boring office outfit stand out and gives you something to talk about with your colleagues. 

Quick question for my readers. How do you like my Monday series, one piece two ways? I'm thinking about continuing this series throughout the year, but wanted to get feedback and see if you enjoy this idea. As it warms up, I'll start be doing more outfits outdoors!

Day to Night | Printed Skirt

Hope everyone had a good weekend! I'm so excited to finally share the good news with my readers, I started a new job.  I'm still working in technology and of course, in the corporate world. Last week, I had training in San Francisco and didn't have time to post my regular schedule outfits.  However, I'm back in NYC and back to my regular schedule.

In today's post, I'm sharing two ways to wear a "fit and flare" printed skirt. What's great about a subtle printed skirt, it can be worn just about anywhere. From your 9-5 to your best friend's baby shower. Plus, it's a great excuse to switch out your traditional pencil skirt at the office. During the winter, adding tights transitions this fun skirt to a more conservative and office appropriate outfit. As for the night outfit, I love my over the knee boots. It adds length to my 5'1" body. In retrospect, I'd switch out the large structure bag for a small cross body.
