Spring has arrived! Over the weekend I did some spring cleaning to make room for some new pieces in my wardrobe. I can't wait to get my hands on this Topshop dress and windowpane maxi. I'm also loving these fringe sandals, they'd look great with white skinny jeans denim and a chambray blazer.
As some of you probably know, Poshmark is my favorite way to sell online and supplement your shopping funds. Today's blog photos are some of the pieces I'm selling on the Poshmark appFOR THOSE NOT FAMILIAR WITH POSHMARK, IT'S A MOBILE APP THAT ENABLES YOU TO BUY AND SELL New and GENTLY USED ITEMS TO THE POSHMARK COMMUNITY. IN THE PAST FEW YEARS, I'VE BEEN ABLE TO SELL HUNDREDS OF ITEMS ON POSHMARK. AS YOU CAN IMAGINE, THAT EVENTUALLY ADDS UP.  I'VE SOLD EVERYTHING FROM A LOUIS VUITTON BAG TO A BANANA REPUBLIC SWEATER.

HERE'S HOW IT WORK. DOWNLOAD THE POSHMARK APP. USE CODE HPADM FOR A $5 CREDIT. TAKE PHOTOS OF THE ITEM WITH YOUR IPHONE OR ANDROID CAMERA, WHICH IS ALL DONE IN THE APP (ONE TIP, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING QUALITY PHOTOS). ALSO SHARE A VARIETY OF PHOTOS. THIS GIVES POTENTIAL BUYERS THE ABILITY TO HAVE A BETTER UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY'RE PURCHASING. BE AS DETAILED AS POSSIBLE WHEN DESCRIBING THE ITEM. NAME YOUR PRICE. I'D RECOMMEND RESEARCHING THE CURRENT MARKET VALUE AND PRICE ACCORDINGLY. THEN POST TO YOUR CLOSET! ONCE SOMEONE BUYS YOUR ITEM, A SHIPPING LABEL WILL BE SENT TO YOUR EMAIL. PACK UP THE ITEM, ATTACH THE SHIPPING LABEL AND DROP OFF AT THE POST OFFICE. ONCE THE ITEM HAS BEEN RECEIVED BY THE BUYER, THE FUNDS WILL DEPOSIT INTO YOUR POSHMARK ACCOUNT. THE FUNDS CAN EITHER BE USED TO BUY MORE ITEMS ON POHSMARK OR YOU CAN DIRECT DEPOSIT THE FUNDS INTO YOUR CHECKING ACCOUNT.

For those of you going through your closet, a few things to remember:
1. Question: Have you worn it in the last year? ---> Answer: No? Time to sell!
2. Question: Does it fit? ---> Answer: No? Time to sell!

At the end of the day, I always want something new for the season. It's a lot easier to justify buying a new pair of shoes when I recently sold something on Poshmark.

HAPPY POSHING! A FEW OF MY READERS HAVE DISCOVERED MY CLOSET, FOR OTHERS HERE'S A DIRECT LINK TO MY POSHMARK CLOSET.

Today I want to share a personal career experience with my readers. As some of you might know, two months ago I started a new job. This took months to make this decision and even after making this decision, I was still questioning if I made the right move for myself, personally and professionally.

In 2010, I started working in silicon valley at one of the largest tech companies in the world. Knowing little about technology and even less about the business world, I found myself learning how to navigate through the corporate world and met some valuable people along the way.

After my wedding in June 2014,  I sat down to evaluate my career. Finally, after several conversations with my husband and mentors, I started to look at new opportunities within my industry. There were two reasons driving this decision, 1) I wasn't happy at my current job and 2) my long term career goals no longer aligned with my current company.

I spent the next few months applying for jobs. None seemed to "feel" like the right fit and then I found the perfect opportunity. Funny enough, it was the one that was staring me right in the face for the past two years. The company that I continued to say "no, not yet" and "I don't think it's the right fit." Several interviews took place, I got the job and I started this January.

My life has completed changed. I've never been happier in my career. Over the course of five years, I  accepted the fact that work wasn't enjoyable and convinced myself that I'd never would be. Well, that's not true. For those who feel like they're in a similar situation, I encouraged you to follow your dreams, heart and desires and make a leap of faith (a strategic one) in your career and find something that makes you happy everyday.

Welcome back to "One Piece, Two Ways" series. As most of you might have noticed, black denim is back in style. Everything from skinny jeans to ripped boyfriend jeans. As much as I love ripped denim, I found these black skinny jeans were a "good" first purchase for the black denim trend. They provide more versatility in my wardrobe.

The day look is something that can easily be worn to the office on a casual Friday. This pinstripe button down is one of my essentials for layering and can be seen in several other outfits on the blog. To add a little color to my look, I mixed olive green and baby blue. The night look has a few bold pieces to make the outfit standout. The leopard clutch and red heels make a basic outfit more stylish.

Hope you enjoy the looks and see everyone on Wednesday!
