What to Wear to Work | Pink Stripes

Recently, I've been all about the stripes skirts. Last week I wore a similar outfit. Stripes skirts and dresses can give a structured look to any outfit, especially for the office, but the trick is finding stripes that work for your body. Most of us probably know, horizontal stripes can give the illusion of a wider shaper, whereas vertical stripes can give the illusion of a slimmer and taller figure. Again, this all depends on what you're wearing and how it fits your body. I love the fit of this J.Crew skirt, but I'm thinking I'll get it hemmed a few inches. I'll be sure to share the comparison of the lengths. The skirt is no longer available, I snagged it during a clearance sales at the J.Crew store in NYC.

What to Wear to Work | Chevon Skirt

 This pop over top is part of the J. Crew Summer Collection. It's less structured from your typical white button-down shirt, but it's still professional for the office. I also love this top with skinny jeans and sandals. The next time I wear this top I want to wear it with a metallic skinny belt and black trousers.  As for the skirt, I have a pear-shape so the chevron skirt gives the illusion of a smaller waist.
