Cafe in NYC | Square Cash

IMG_1015

I recently went out to brunch with a girlfriend at Cafe la Cerra in midtown Manhattan. We enjoyed giant lattes (my favorite) and açai bowls filled with coconut, fresh fruit, and granola. It was to die for! If you haven't been, I'd highly recommend it.

When it came time to get going, splitting the check was as easy as the push of a button. I've been using the Square Cash app to send money to friends and couldn't be happier with it.

I never carry around cash anymore, and I find some other apps a bit invasive as your network can see what you're sending and receiving. Square relieves you of that but still makes it easy to find the people you want to pay (or charge) via a username similar to a hashtag... mine, for example, is $corporatecatwalk.

The user interface is simple and so easy to use, and you can add multiple different cards onto the app to choose which you want to pay with. Plus, instead of "cashing out" like on PayPal or Venmo, it direct deposits into your bank within 24 hours. What's not to love?

No need to make an account, no fees, and a really low charge for businesses (only 1.9%).

Square Cash makes it so easy to send and receive money. Next time you’re out with friends, download the Square Cash App to easily pay someone back, or use it to reimburse friends for a group gift. There are so many different ways to use it.

The best part? Square Cash is willing to give you $5 for free (that's a little more than you'll need for a bowl-sized Latte from Cafe la Cerra) when you download the app and use this code: cash.me/app/VLNCBCN

What to Wear to Work | Black + White

WHITE_7

These wide leg pants from Reiss are currently one of these most beloved pieces in my closet. My only knock on the pants is that they get dirty, easily - like anything else I own that is white.

Here's another look at a black and white outfit wearing the pants, also wore this striped button down in this look. In this monochromatic look, I paired a similar off-white top with the pants for a perfect after work outfit.

Weekend Style | Black Knit

Chanel Flats_4

My weekend style in the winter typically consists of my favorite jeans, a chunky knit sweater, and flats. We spend a lot of the time on the weekend together as a family... usually taking Batman to the dog park, running errands, and dinner at a local restaurant.  I tend to want to stay pretty comfortable throughout the day!

The key part of the weekend style equation has always, without fail, been jeans. They're quintessential. My biggest issue, though, is finding jeans that fit properly. I'm petite, and jeans often come in one-inseam-fits-all, which we all know isn't the case. My solution? Olivia Palermo's favorite... AG The Legging Ankle Jeans. I've found that they fit me the best, and would highly recommend them to any other petite ladies struggling to find the right fit! (I last wore this same cut in a different style in my post on Wednesday which you can see here)

My second favorite weekend style secret? Luxe details on casual silhouettes. Case in point: these Chanel flats. And if you love designer pieces but not the prices, check out online consignment stores like TheRealReal and Postmark.

For those who are hesitant about buying designer pieces on Poshmark... after you purchase an item, it goes through certification before it arrives to the buyer. This guarantees authenticity of your purchase. What this means - the seller ships to Poshmark in San Francisco. After it's authenticated, it's shipped to you!

The key to weekend style is really the details. Jeans that fit just right, an elevated accessory, and, ultimately, comfort! If I can't take Batman on a walk in it, it just won't work.

What are your favorite weekend pieces?
